Well lets face it...a letter from FAASOS is not the same thing as one from the Nobel committee, your secret admirer, future spouse or future ex spouse. We believe you have tried and hopefully liked the food we serve and thus we thought of reaching out to inform you of some changes that are happening here. Usually, these tasks are given to me, as I am the one, who is the most dispensable in the kitchen. I also pretend to be the CEO of Faasos for the same reason.
This time let me introduce you to a New Faasos in Pune. I say new, because we have made a lot of changes (hopefully mostly positive) to our company, our product and our services in the last few months -
First the product:
a) We are launching 6 new wraps (from BBQ chicken to Corn Salsa) in pune as I am writing this note
b) We are launching low oil versions of our regular paratha wraps, so that you can enjoy without looking for tissue paper at the same time
c) We're launching meals, where by you can add a chutney, a packet of wafers and a drink to your wrap
d) We're launching some great desserts starting with a glorious mix of motichur and rabdi. You will know cannot be called anything else but the Meetha Fantasy
Check the new menu: http://www.faasos.com/pdf/FA_webmenu_pune.pdf
Then the company:
a) We realized that running franchisees does not give us enough control on the quality of product, service, hygiene levels etc.. And hence, we have discontinued 8 franchisee locations in Pune: Aundh, Pimple Saudagar, Kalyani Nagar, Viman Nagar, MIT Kothrud, Bnaer, Model Colony and Hinjewadi
b) But, the good news is we have / are coming up with 4 brand new locations of ours: Aundh, Kalyani Nagar, Viman Nagar and Baner. Please check http://www.faasos.com/contact.html to look up the new addresses and numbers
We are doing a special promotional launch across all our 10 outlets in Pune on August 15, to celebrate the New Faasos. I will keep you updated.
FAASOS is very much a PUNE company. We started here way back in 2003 not really knowing where we were going with this. Most of you have tolerated our many failings over these years and that is only reason we are still around - for that and for all your good wishes we are truly grateful.
Many thanks and hope to see you soon
Jaydeep
Co-founder and CEO
Faasos
Ah well, if you are serving the biryani at the Karishma outlet, all is forgiven.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense to on Paud rd. someplace...
yes, we will. In a couple of days. thank you :)
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you put this on http://www.faasos.com/
ReplyDeleteMay be create a blog at http://www.faasos.com/blog
I am loving your wraps from almost 6-7 years. I started with a FAASOS joint near DSK showroom, around DeepBunglow Chowk.
Hey in case you need help, we can setup your blog for free.
Just drop me an email at rahul.bansal@rtcamp.com
Rahul, many thanks for your message. Appreciate it. Would love to write a blog, but where is the time ? :)
ReplyDeleteFirstly can we have some truth? There were never any franchise stores (you have clearly mentioned this in your interviews before)… all the so called franchise stores have the same staff and people and also the menu…franchise agreements always have termination clauses and can't believe that you simply asked them to continue with same stuff under different name and at same place!! and when I spoke to staff they said 'owners ke beech kuch jhagda ho gaya and puraane saab eat some naam se chalayenge' …
ReplyDeleteThere is lot more than what the eye sees and this blog says…things brushed under the carpet always come out sooner than later…
Btw - I am regular eater at the MIT outlet…. will you opt to delete this post or clarify in public?
Rohit. Thank you for your note. I have no idea why you felt I was not writing the truth. Hence, do not feel the need to clarify or defend myself. Please feel free to write to jaydeep@faasos.com if you have any specific questions.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate your response Jaydeep - the only question is - Are all the founders and team members (of original Faasos who were there is 2003) still with you or EatSome? Would love to know others in your team who have continued to believe in you and back you and your vision.
ReplyDeleteThis matters because finally people run business and for me the brand, quality, taste, trust etc all goes with people who were there from day 1 and continue to be…so if everybody is with Faasos my love for you continues…probably will grow more :)
Rohit, not everyone who were there in 2003 are there. 9 years is a long time. Please rest assured that people who started Faasos, believed that it can be a national chain AND backed that vision are still with Faasos.
